"Parker" - Kind of iffy. Probably the 2nd of 3rd best PG in the game for sure, so maybe.
"Baron Davis" - Even at his best from a few years back, no.
"Granger" - Nah. He's established himself as a great scorer, but he's not top 20 material yet. Needs to develop other aspects of his game.
"Joe Johnson" - Crazy talk.
"Turkoglu" - Completely off your rocker crazy babling.

No way Turkoglu's a top 20 player in the NBA. He might not even be top 50.

Yes, Gasol is soft (so that sttoped Howard)... not so good as Wilt Chamberlain... But Lakers wouldn't have win the ring without him. Not only the points he scores, have you noticed how does he play without the ball? Do you know what Pau does when he is not playing NBA league? Winning World Basket Championship, European Basket Championship, the silver medal at Olimpics Games...
Navarro is a very good player, HE IS NOT A ROOKIE to be seated in Memphis, so is Rudy Fernandez at Portland. If Rudy don't get more minutes, he probably will returns to Spain, because good players want play basket. No minutes, no money, no team... I understand Navarro.

Murcy says…
oh well… I’ll chime in with those top 20…
LeBron, Kobe, Wade, D. Howard, Paul, Duncan, Dirk, Nash, Bosh, Yao, Pierce, Garnett, Baron Davis, Roy, Parker, Melo, Granger, Arenas, Joe Johnson, Turkoglu

Arenas? He's hardly even a current player with 15 games in 2 years, or maybe a current player with his best behind him until demonstrated otherwise. On that criteria, we could put Iverson, McGrady, and numerous others in your list. Doubt there's a single GM that would take Turkoglu, Johnson, Arenas, Parker, Yao, Davis or Bosh over Gaso. Even Pierce, Nash, Garnett would be doubtful at this stage of their careers.

Agreed that Pau doesn't get enough credit. Everyone was talking about what a masterful job HUBIE FREAKING BROWN did when they made the playoffs.

Turkoglu, Granger, Paul, Arenas, Joe Johnson, Baron Davis, Melo, Yao, Bosh and Roy better than Pau Gasol? I say no.
The actual Pierce, Duncan, Garnett, Parker and Nash maybe.

Now this list might favor scoring a bit heavily, but Gasol's best feature is also his offensive game. His is a good rebounder, and an okay defensive player. However, I believe at least these 20 players are better than him

haha. Yeah. Pau is dope. It's just amazing that people still think Kobe doesn't elevate anyone's game, yet now people are talking about Pau as a top 10 player. Love it. Lakers will win this year because of Pau...oh, and kobe

Well, Gasol carried Memphis (MEMPHIS!!) to the playoffs with excellent stats.
But that's not really what makes Gasol great and a top ten. He's a marvellous team player and the ultimate second banana. He makes everybody who plays with him better, a bit like Tim Duncan does.

Is he better than, say, Amare? You wouldn't dream to put Amare over Tim Duncan just because he's got better stats, right? Tim does all the intangibles right while Amare plays basically for himself.

Well, it's the same with Gasol. He's right there with Deron, Yao and Dirk IMO and a step behind the Kobes and LeBrons.
Btw, no way Brandon Roy deserves to be in the top ten yet. He has failed to carry a loaded Blazers team beyond the first round. Gasol wishes he had that supporting cast during Memphis playoff forays.
