Make % and Attempt % were often unrelated. I think that Make % is for the most part random.

And yes, I like the way the Top Attempt guys came out. It's great when the stats confirm common knowledge.

Except for Aaron Gray. I have no idea what his deal is.

Interesting to see Yao Ming doesn't make these lists. Perhaps it's because he doesn't kick out as much?

How did most of those guys in the second list (Top Make %) fair in the Top Attempt %? It would make sense if a lot of them were in the negative (except Gray, who seems to be a gigantic fluke in this study), as their teammates could be taking fewer shots, and thus increasing their percentage merely by missing less.

The Top Attempt guys are perfectly logical. Ball-dominating penetrators, many the focus of their offense. Rondo is a bit of a special case. His percentage also reflects the fact that the Celtics didn't have a solid backup ball handler, so his top 3 shooting teammates (Allen and Pierce) did more ballhandling when he was on the bench, and more ball handling usually means fewer threes and more dribble-drives. Also, Eddie House is the top reserve chucker on that team, and he and Rondo don't play together.
