Matt,

re: <i>"Everyone knows I love Tyrus Thomas, but I can’t get over how well the 24 year old rookie is playing when no one expected him to contribute."</i>

If you check back to what I had to say about Taj Gibson prior to the 2009 NBA Draft, you will see that I expected him to be able to contribute to the team that was smart enough to select him with a 1st Round pick.

While some others might well be surprised at how well he is playing for the Bulls, to this point, I am not.

Cheers

Why the love for Hinrich? Can't shoot, never could shoot, won't be able to shoot in the foreseeable future, often dribbles around as aimlessly as BG ever did (save the ability to redeem himself with an otherworldly shot), and he can't shoot. Cletus can defend though. It appears Salmons has a touch of the same bug. How about a Lion Face for the exceedingly competent Piston BG over Taj freakin' Gibson in a losing effort? Jesus. And you're a fan of Tyrus? Christ. He can leap out of the gym, but he has no offensive game and never will. Absolutely no sense of a back to the basket--or even face-up--game unless it's a dunk. Also, are you being paid to hype D. Rose? Yeah, he's the best athlete in the NBA, but he's hurt, lacking explosiveness, and playing worse than he did in his rookie season. How many times has he gone to the hole? Check out his FTPG. I'm a little worried about his potential for chronic injury--his game needs to be able to withstand huge physical abuse.Should be taking more shots than anyone else on this team. Lots of time left to recover and rediscover that penetration game though, unlimited ceiling if he does. If he doesn't, his athleticism means very little. Noah is for real though. Many more Lion Faces for him.
