BlockClocked tracks which players are getting their stuff sent away, out of here, gotten gone, rejected, denied, and heretofore blocked. We track both total attempts blocked and blocked percentage. All data courtesy of HoopData.com.

Melo, Wallace, and Boozer are the LeBron-Kobe-Wade of BlockClocked. They’re all such versatile, volume experts at gettting rejected. Meanwhile Chris Bosh and Zach Randolph have been keeping pace nicely with one another on high pace, high offense teams. Beasley makes a massive jump this week. Coming on strong in the department of having your weak stuff removed.

Pops got one more shot off before the Rockets waived him. If he doesn’t get resigned, his 50% should be good enough for the championship. Meanwhile, two Heat players in the top 5. That’s some quality rejection being offered right there. We’ll probably do another split for those playing over 25+ minutes next week.

I was wondering, could the blocked shot be the new strike out?
What I mean was that there was a big argument that sluggers strike out a lot, but don't care, because there seems to be a correlation with strike outs and home runs, and if they cared about striking out, they would hit less home runs.

I see blocked shots being similar. Sure, they might get swatted, but it shows their attempts at going at big men or to the hoop (where a majority of shots are blocked). Obviously the stats aren't there for that yet, and it's just a theory. What do you think?
