You Remember Eric Devendorf? Guess Where He’s Headed? Guess. You’ll Never Guess. Okay, It’s the D-League. You Guessed. This Game Is Lame.

Eric Devendorf still has a basketball dream.

But he needs a basketball team.

Nearly nine months after playing his final college game for Syracuse University, the Bay City basketball phenom is still in search of his next team and his next chance.

“You’ve got to be positive about your situation because maybe you were put in that situation for a reason,” he said. “I’m staying positive. I know it’s going to happen.”

Now, for the first time since his decision to forego his senior season and pursue a professional career, it appears that Devendorf has caught a break. While nothing has been finalized, he said he hopes to sign with the Reno Bighorns of the NBA Development League as early as Monday.

It’s too bad that kids get bad advice. Like going to Syracuse. And then leaving Syracuse for the NBA without being Carmelo Anthony (much love, Donte Greene). But Devendorf has enough physical tools to be kind of an interesting pickup. Maybe he and Kevin Owens can get on the same team and bunk.

Devendorf didn't "get bad advice" on leaving Syracuse early, he was pushed out the door. He never had the option to return is what I heard at the time and continue to hear to this day.

btw, why the knock on Syracuse? They've got a good track record of putting kids in the pros lately. Melo, Warrick, Flynn, even Donte Green is starting these days.

Ouch, my boy Devo is going to do well. Nice sentence structure by the way, you could use a year or two of college from the looks of it. Like go to Syracuse. Just rippin', lol.

what aboot Jonny Flynn bro?
