		<description>So true about Pop&#039;s ego.  He actively avoids receiving credit for Spurs games.  Maybe years of being hated for replacing Bob Hill taught him not to rely on fickle fans for support?  I laughed when he got Coach of the Year in 2003-- he looked so uncomfortable as he received the award!

Which makes me wonder: what does he get out of coaching?  If it&#039;s not the accolades he wants, there must be other aspects of the job that he enjoys.</description>
