It’s Getting Tiresome Saying It, But Boom Got Them Boards

NBA Development League: Bighorns at Stampede.

You’d think Rod Benson would start slowing down, getting bored, just going through the motions. Nope. 28 points on 17 shots, 12 boards, 3 steals, 3 blocks in a loss to the undefeated Stampede last night.

Benson’s almost a volume rebounder, if there is such a thing. His DRR if he were to ever get a stinkin’ flyer would be insane. All you’re looking for is quality minutes and you know he’ll give you that. He’s added frame as he’s gotten older and it’s not like he’s lost in terms of positioning. He’s got a high basketball IQ. What’s the downside here? The only thing I can figure at this point is that he peed on Adam Silver’s rug at some point. And it tied the room together.

Meanwhile Anthony Tolliver is setting himself up nicely. He had 30 and 11 last night on 17 shots. Idaho’s always been a hotbed of activity for call-ups and the guy has NBA experience. He’s making a push at age 24 for the Call-Up list.

I’d love to tell you who is leading the league in Plus/Minus, but of course, no one is keeping those numbers. Sigh.

New shit has come to light!

I would have loved him over Sheldon Williams for the C's. He just reminds me of Leon Powe lite.
