Guys, everyone knows having a Laker in the contest will boost the ratings. Even though Nate has been in it, he is still a Knick. That is LA and NY, the 2 biggest markets. Ratings-wise, they will be fine. Sure, it won’t be 2000 VC, but it is what it is.

This whole post is horseshit. The dunk contest has been a joke for at least 10 years (whenever it was that Vince Carter won it), and you’re telling me that Lebron should compete against the likes of Shannon Brown and Nate Robinson? Child please.

It’s entirely plausible that he looked at the list and said “Um, no thanks” once he saw the scrub-studded list of contestants.

Also, If this is indeed his last year in Cleveland, I’d rather him not spend it in therapy working on some freaking knee ligament because he listened to you assholes in the fist place.

Everyone loses out here.

LeBron may have called dunk contests are bourgeois in one of his commercials but in the NBA it’s still a rite of passage. Dr J did it, Jordan did it, Kobe did it. All dunk contest champions, all NBA champions.

If All-Star weekend is truly about the fans, then we should get what we want… and that includes seeing LBJ in just ONE dunk contest. Him winning is a foregone conclusion.

Guess not so much anymore, huh? Gotta be in it to win it, LeBron.
