The major issue I have with this kind of analisys is that they consider the stats from the first game with the same weight as the stat of the last one.
The fallacy of that is clear when you think of a team winning all of their first 40 games and losing the last 12 may be because they lost their best player. Examples being Charlotte after they take Jackson..
Great stat, may be , but meaningless. And meaningless analisys.
So, instead of looking at the picture, I suggest you look at the trend of the four factor of each team and THEN compare them and make the Bball comments.

While ordering teams by conference rank is easier to look at, the regressions validity would be improved by making your x-axes either win percentage or team +/- per game.

Also, these teams' performances are not uncorrelated, since they play against each other frequently. Your next step in testing the usefulness of the four factors (or any of the above stats) could be to include as many years of results as possible to lessen the cross-correlation effects.

Sweet sassy molassy the Bulls are so pathetic on offense.

Is there any correlation between excellent offensive rebounding teams and inefficient offenses? It seems like this is the 6th straight season where the Bulls are an excellent rebounding team, but have a terrible offense. You'd think a team that creates extra possessions would be better than 29th in efficiency.
