Remember

Forget momentarily that a horrible lockout is slowly destroying the league’s momentum. Forget about the missed games. Remember something else, if just for a moment, instead. Remember the electrifying 2011 NBA playoffs. Remember what we’d be discussing if our hearts and minds weren’t focused on stagnant negotiations.

Remember Chris Paul’s return?

Remember the joy of two young teams locked in struggle?

Remember Dirk’s 48?

Remember LeBron’s Eastern Conference Finals’ takeover?

Remember when the Finals seemed over, but they were only just beginning?

Remember Dirk’s moment?

But we’d also be looking towards an imminent, new NBA season.

We’d ask if this could become a regular occurrence for Derrick Rose.

We’d hope to see more of this from John Wall.

We’d argue about Bismack Biyombo’s future.

We’d ask if these two could make magic happen.

Most of all, we’d be happy the NBA was back for another season.

This is fantastic Conner. Thank you for turning the focus in a positive direction.

Great - now you made me sad about the lockout again. thanks, dick.

But seriously, loved it... What I'm really missing isn't the highlights but all the criss-crossing storylines that develop throughout the season, and from season to season.
