About Hardwood Paroxysm

Hardwood Paroxysm was created in October of 2007 by Matt Moore. It features news, commentary, analysis, and humor from around the National Basketball Association. It has been a member of the TrueHoop Network since the network’s inception.

Athletic big men who will never live up to their potential, and college-learned point guards with fundamentals are on our crest. We’re not always right, but we’re trying to learn more about the game every day.

Welcome to The Paroxysm.

About the Authors:

Matt Moore is a blogger for CBSSports.com’s Eye on Basketball blog, as well as weekend editor of NBCSports.com’s Pro Basketball Talk. He both loves and detests the sound of his own voice.

Rob Mahoney is the author of the Two Man Game on the TrueHoop Network and a contributing writer for NBCSports.com’s Pro Basketball Talk.

Noam Schiller is no longer new, but he is quite the fan of Paul George.

Danny Chau is HP’s resident Zen haikuist. He once woke up next to an elk breathing into his ear, and that isn’t even the weirdest deer-related story he has.

Clint Peterson has been around the basketball block a few times, frequently popping up as the lead feature writer at ShootHoops.com and super administrator at TheUtahJazzBlog. Raised a racing nut, he also makes odd Photoshops and snarky comments on Twitter when he isn’t creating cover art for novels or digging up stats.

Sean Highkin is a contributing writer for Portland Roundball Society and a co-founder and editor for the music site Beats Per Minute. Soulja Boy used to follow him on Twitter.

Connor Huchton writes for ESPN True Hoop’s The Two Man Game and acts as editor of SB Nation’s Rufus on Fire. This is the greatest about page bio he has ever written for Hardwood Paroxysm.

Curtis Harris blogs about basketball solely for Hardwood Paroxysm and also enjoys peanut butter and marshmallow sandwiches

Jared Dubin writes about basketball on the interwebs, and he thinks that interwebs is a far better word than internet. He founded the mildly popular NBA blogOutside the Arc and is an extremely occasional contributor to Knicks Vision.

Eric Maroun is a native Clevelander living in Indianapolis who lists meeting Craig Sager at a bar after LeBron’s return to Cleveland as one of the high points in his life. He enjoys the Cavs, good basketball, and the rare occurrence of those two overlapping each other.

Amin Vafa is one of the Monday guys. While he, too, left Cleveland for a new life on the East Coast, his exit was largely unnoticed. You can occasionally read Amin’s political musings on his personal blog, sparingly read his Cavaliers musings on Stepien Rules, and wish he he wouldn’t write so much on twitter.
